Another thing to fix.

October 2022 marks a significant change for Overwatch players and fans as the original fades into memory, with Overwatch 2 breaking onto the scene and offering a fresh take on the formula. Though, that doesn’t mean that the game is perfect or even better than the first, as its launch has been met with criticism over the abundance of bugs it has introduced, among other things.

Getting your aim and input lag back to a comfortable place is something that won’t take too long to do. Just make sure you’ve got Overwatch 2 installed and updated, ready to rock! Here’s how to adjust the settings!

Input Lag

Unfortunately for console players, input lag can only be adjusted on PC, currently. If you need to fix this issue on a gaming console, it could have something to do with the TV/monitor you’re using or it could be something that Blizzard will fix in an upcoming update.

Here’s how to fix it on a PC.

  • From the game’s main menu, head to the Options screen.
  • Next, go to the Video area of the settings and then select Dynamic Render Scale and toggle it Off.

Aim

Keyboard & Mouse

  • Head to the Options screen.
  • Then, go to the Gameplay tab and turn on the High Precision Mouse Input.

Controller

  • Go to the Options menu.
  • Swap over to the Controls tab of settings.
  • Move down to the Controller section of the page.
  • You’ll need to disable Aim Smoothing.
  • This can be found under the Advanced menu.
  • It’s a slider that needs to be moved all the way down to 0 percent.
