The Grappleshot is a ground item you’ll find on most maps in most game modes in Halo Infinite. When you pick up this equipment, you’ll get three grapples, allowing you to launch yourself toward an object and do some other creative things. Press your Use Equipment button (Q on PC) to use fire off a grapple at your target location.

How to use the Grappleshot in Halo Infinite

Here are some ways to use the Grappleshot in Halo Infinite:

  1. Maneuver quickly around the map.
  2. Close the gap between you and an enemy.
  3. Enter a vehicle from far away.
  4. Pick up weapons or items at a distance.

The most obvious use for the Grappleshot is to maneuver around the map quickly. There’s no better way to get around than by doing a few consecutive grappleshots off the ceiling and swinging across the map like Tarzan. It’s also great for getting to hard-to-reach locations and surprising your enemies or setting up a flank.

This next one might be a bit harder to pull off. If you’re rocking the Gravity Hammer or Sword and you have a couple of Grappleshots handy, you can close the gap between you and an enemy and smash them to bits. Aim at the enemy, stick your Grappleshot to them, and get ready for some fun.

You can also use the Grappleshot to attach and enter into a vehicle. Board an enemy vehicle and knock them out of it, or hitch a ride with this trick. It’s an excellent option for stealing an enemy vehicle and catching them off guard. Or, you know, use it to get into that Banshee so you can cause some havoc.

Another use for the Grappleshot is to pick up weapons and items from a distance. Aim the Grappleshot at any items you want to pick up and shoot the grapple at it. Your trusty Grappleshot will bring you the item, no questions asked. The item will then be auto-equipped, allowing you to make some pretty creative plays.
