How to Use Flawless Widescreen to Increase FOV in Atomic Heart

Adjusting the field of vision (FOV) in FPS games might not sound like a priority to some, but many gamers with ultrawide screens consider it one of the major things that influence their shooting experience. Atomic Heart is a beautiful game with an attention-grabbing environment and some sneaky enemies so every player benefits from getting a wider field of vision.

However, are you allowed to increase FOV in Atomic Heart, and if yes how can you do it? Read on to find out.

Increasing FOV in Atomic Heart with Flawless Widescreen

Unfortunately, Atomic Heart doesn’t offer the option of increasing your field of vision in its default settings. But, you’ll be happy to hear that it can be done with third-party software and it runs like a charm.

Right off the bat, we should say that increasing FOV works on PC only (for now). The software you need to download is called Flawless Widescreen and it supports increasing FOV for many games, not only Atomic Heart.

To increase your FOV, download and install Flawless Widescreen, go to Available Plugins, FWS Plugins, and select Atomic Heart. You will get all sorts of different options but the one you need to focus on is the FOV Fix (Game) which needs to be ticked.

Now you can use the slider titled “In-game FOV – Fine Adjustment”. There will be a 0–40% value scale and you should adjust this according to your screen resolution and personal preferences. You can try out different FOV percentages until you reach what you think is perfect. Just remember that each time you open the game you will first need to run the Flawless Widescreen.

In the end, this can sound like an annoying workaround but it is pretty simple to do and it will upgrade your gaming experience significantly. If you have played Atomic Heart for at least a couple of hours, you have noticed that there are a lot of enemies that jump out of nowhere or sneak up to you when you least expect it. Increased FOV will help you see the threats earlier and help you prepare for them.
