How to Unlock Pekora in Dragon Quest Treasures

Da don ga don don don.

Hololive’s stable of VTubers grows more popular by the day, and one of their most popular is Usada Pekora, the lovably unhinged rabbit girl. Pekora is a big fan of the Dragon Quest series, having played several of its games in her streams, which is why Hololive cut a deal with Square Enix to have her included in the newest one. Here’s how to unlock Pekora in Dragon Quest Treasures.

How to Unlock Pekora in Dragon Quest Treasures

Rather than as herself, Pekora appears in Dragon Quest Treasures as Pekotte, a special Killing Machine monster with a distinctive rabbit-shaped scarf and carrot-colored sword. She can be obtained through the use of a special gift code, after which she can be recruited and trained just like you would with any other monster.

Here’s how to use gift codes to get Pekotte:

  1. Press the + button to open your main menu
  2. Go to the Gang menu, then scroll down to Gift Code to open a text input
  3. Type the code PEK into the input and press OK
  4. You’ll receive Pekotte, alongside 2 Chimaera Wings and 15 Bang Bombs

After you’ve redeemed the code, you need to visit your home base and speak to Miss Cecily, the pink Restless Armour at the desk, and click “see potential new recruits.” She’ll show you the list of new applicants, which Pekotte will automatically be included in. Pay her initial recruitment fee of 112 Gold, and she’ll join your gang!

Pekotte is a rainbow-colored monster that starts at level 15 with 167 HP and 65 MP. Her Forte is Glide, she has a Safekeeping Score of 90%, and a Treasure Capacity of 3. Like regular Killing Machines, she’s strong against Fire, Explosions, Ice, Sleep, and Poison, weak against Water, Electricity, Impact, and Debilitation, and neutral to everything else.

If you feel that your various treasure-hunting escapades could use a lot more violence and a lot more of someone shouting “peko,” bring Pekotte along! She’ll definitely make things sillier, that’s for sure. And if want some more Hololive stuff to enjoy, check out our guide on the free game HoloCure.
