One of the first prerequisites of unlocking the Head to Head mode is reaching Level 4 on the Field Pass. it is one of the most frustrating things to do, but you have to play and do it. For progressing through levels, play challenges and complete objectives. This will earn you XP and increase your level.

Among other conditions, remember to complete all challenges and play against the CPU only to unlock the Head to Head mode. Playing online against actual players will not count towards unlocking your desired game mode. Also, make sure you use most feared strategies in CPU game mode matches or Field of Fear only. You can also completely avoid the strategies while playing.
