How to Unlock Ares Island Cyberspace Levels in Sonic Frontiers

Dive Into Cyberspace!

Sonic Frontiers may boast a large, open world — for the most part, anyway — but don’t fret! It’s also loaded with the kind of levels you’d expect. In addition to the large, sprawling scenery, there are levels that take inspiration from the Blue Blur’s storied past called Cyberspace Levels. Cyberspace Levels can be themed after iconic levels such as Green Hill Zone, City Escape, and Chemical Plant, among others.

What’s more, there are seven (or more!) Cyberspace Levels in each major area of Sonic Frontiers! Meaning there’s a wealth of opportunity to relive old levels with a brand new perspective! In the second major area, also known as Ares Island, there are plenty of Cyberspace Levels to access. Here’s how to unlock them!

How to Unlock Ares Island Cyberspace Levels in Sonic Frontiers

It’s easier than you might think to unlock all of the Cyberspace Levels on Ares Island! As soon as you arrive on Ares Island from Kronos Island, you’ll theoretically have access to all of them. You’ll just have to make sure you have enough Portal Gears to physically unlock each. If you find yourself running low on Portal Gears, you can usually find more by defeating guardians. You can also find some by fishing with your good friend Big the Cat (you can use your Treasure Tokens or Gold Cards to buy Portal Gears).

On Ares Island, you’ll be able to explore Cyberspace Levels with the following themes:

  • Portal 2-1: Green Hill (sunset)
  • Portal 2-2: Sky Sanctuary (daytime)
  • Portal 2-3: Chemical Plant
  • Portal 2-4: Chemical Plant
  • Portal 2-5: Sky Sanctuary (sunset)
  • Portal 2-6: Green Hill (daytime)
  • Portal 2-7: Sky Sanctuary (daytime)
