How to Unlock All Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 Operator Skins

A new Season, a new face to rock in Multiplayer

With the new Season of Modern Warfare 2 arriving at full force, the improved Battle Pass brings forth new arrivals for players to dive straight into. Whether you are playing to unlock your full potential, from cosmetic upgrades to new weaponry, there is a lot on offer within the new Season 3 of Modern Warfare 2. But the most interesting addition to the Modern Warfare Tier System is the BlackCell, a new way to play through Modern Warfare 2’s Multiplayer. Regardless of the type of gameplay you typically play, whether you are a Multiplayer Veteran, an explorer of the DMZ or a survivor of Warzone, BlackCell rewards players with instant gratification in the form of Operator Skins, Tier Skips and COD Points. So if you want to get ahead of the pack, here is how to unlock the 12 new Operator Skins for MW2 Season 3.

What Has Updated in Season 3?

In Modern Warfare 2, the entire format and process of the Battle Pass has seen an overhaul, with a spit of polish to finish the job. The Pass is way easier to navigate around, with a clear path towards your goals as you fly through the Sectors and obtain their vast rewards. From XP to various Skins on Weapons, Vehicles and brand new Operator Skins. Call of Duty always pays their respect towards their most favorite comrades that you will have grown fond of through the completion of the Campaigns. From nostalgic fans being able to play as Ghost throughout their Multiplayer experience, to now paving the way in the camouflage of Valeria and Alejandro.

The Season 3 Battle Pass with give players access to the default Skins of these beloved Modern Warfare 2 characters. These are however unlocked via the Bonus Sector within the Battle Pass. Remember that if you purchased BlackCell, you will obtain the ability to skip through Tier, although its use is limited. So keep this in mind when prioritising specific rewards over others. Are you someone who grinds for that new Weapon Camo or want to fast-track your progress towards the new Operator Skins? The choice is yours.

How to Unlock Season 3 Skins

There are a total of 12 Operator Skins available as part of the Season 3 Battle Pass. Keep in mind however that these Skins are only available within the BlackCell portion of the BattlePass. This is a separate transaction that those who have the default Battle Pass will not have access to. So in order to unlock these new Operator Skins, you will need to pay $29.99 for BlackCell. This is the new, upgraded form of the Battle Pass, but is of course, not a compulsory purchase. But for those who want the 12 Operator Skins will need BlackCell as it is exclusive to the upgrade only.

The Season 3 Operator Skins that are available to unlock by Battle Pass BlackCell users are:

  • Default Valeria Skin (Unlocked in Bonus Sector)
  • Default Alejandro Skin (Unlocked in Bonus Sector)
  • Farah Skin ‘Road Rage’ (Unlocked in Sector 10)
  • Gus Skin ‘El Santo’ (Unlocked in Sector 15)
  • Ghost Skin ‘Nightwar’ (Unlocked in Sector 20)
  • Valeria Skin ‘El Sin Nombre’ (Unlocked in Victory Sector)
  • Alejandro Skin ‘Vaquero’ (Unlocked in Victory Sector)

When unlocking these Operator Skins, they are done upon completing a specific Sector within the Battle Pass. There are a total of 5 Skins for Valeria and Alejandro and 7 other Operator Skins, including new Ghost Skin Variants. As you blitz through the Sectors, you will inevitably complete all 20 Sectors. At this point, you will unlock the Victory Sector which will reward you with further content, cosmetic items and the final Valeria (El Sin Nombre) and Alejandro (Vaquero) Skin.
