How To Turn Off Narration in Age of Empires 2

Luckily, it’s easy to turn off the narration in both the Xbox and PC versions of the game! Here’s a simple step-step-process for both platforms:

For Xbox:

1. Launch Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition.
2. Press the ‘Menu‘ button on the controller.
3. Select ‘Options.’ 
4. Select ‘Audio.’ 
5. Scroll down to the ‘Menu‘ section. 
6. Choose the types of ‘Menu‘ narration that you would like to turn off. 

Note: Scroll further down to the Tooltips Narration and Game Objects Narration sections to adjust more narration options. 

For PC:

1. Launch Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition.
2. Click the Gear icon on the top right of the screen.
3. Select ‘Options‘.
4. Select the ‘Audio‘ tab.
5. View the ‘Narrator‘ section to turn narration off in different parts of the game. 
6. Click ‘Confirm‘ to save your settings.
