How to Trigger Special Research Tasks in Pokémon GO

There are several types of research in Pokémon GO: Field, Sponsored, Timed, Level-Up, and Special research. Each of them have certain requirements that you will have to do or achieve before you are able to complete them. Those may be spinning some Photo Discs in certain areas close to PokéStops or even getting to a specific level. However, in the case of Special Research, there are no such requirements. You can’t do anything, ever.

I’m just kidding, of course, I don’t want to sound overly dramatic. But there is some truth in this statement. Rotating discs won’t do anything, but you do need to be at least level 5 to do Special Research tasks. However, the tasks you receive will come directly from Professor Willow, so you will just have to wait for them to be assigned. They will come fast, so don’t worry about waiting. And, there are quite a lot of Special Research tasks, getting Mew will be just the start of your Speacial Research goals. Here are the latest Special Research Tasks that were made available in 2021 and expire on August 2023.
