How to Take a Trip by Boat in Chained Echoes

A short trip to a new destination

By taking a trip on the Boat in Chained Echoes, you will gain access to a secret side of the Ograne Grottos Region. On this side you will find a Transport Crystal. You will also be able to explore and fight the Unique Monster, Randomage to obtain one of the Elemental Tablets: Earth. The other Tablets can be located on the eastern side of Ograne Grottos via the Baalrut Tunnels. This is our guide on how to get to the Ograne Grottos Boat and the objectives you need to hit in order to take a ride into a new area in Chained Echoes.

The Boat Location in Chained Echoes

The location of the Boat in Chained Echoes can be found in the secret side of Ograne Grottos. However, the method to getting to this area is much harder than you would initially anticipate. First of all, you need to find the Elevator Key for the Raminas Tower. This can be found in the Nhysa Magic Academy. When you approach the Academy building, you must open the room on the far-left side of the Courtyard. In this room you will find a note of the Flying Smithy location and inside the Chest to the right of the room is the Elevator Key.

Once this is in hand, head straight over to the Raminas Tower via the Airship. You need to head to the Elevator Room in which you can use the Key to go down into the 1F. From here you will need to fight your way through all the way down to Floor 7. The exit of the Tower is located at Floor 8. This will take you to a new area of Ograne Grottos. By heading south-west, the entrance to the Baalrut Tunnels can be found. However, by heading east, you will find the Ograne Grottos Boat.

How to Ride the Boat

Now that you have found the Boat Location the next objective is to find the Manor Key in the north-western side of Rohlan Fields. Use the Fast-Travel spot at the north-east side of the Region. Then use your Sky Armor to travel west, two loading screens over. Eventually you will fly upon some Ruins, a grouping of torn down walls. There are three Chests to open in the Ruins, giving you: Exchange Parts, All Immunity RAM and the Manor Key.

With this, take the Key to the central Island of the Lake and use the Key on the front door of the Manor. Head two floors up and go into the central room with the circular table and tablecloth to obtain Charon’s Coin Bag. This item is key to using the Boat at Ograne Grottos.

Now that you have Charon’s Coin Bag, head back to the secret area of Ograne Grotto and head down the passage east. You will find the Boat here on this passage. To use the Boat, throw Charon’s coin in. Take the Boat back to Ograne Grottos for the Region Reward Board.

That is how to ride the Boat in Chained Echoes. Remember you need to find both the Elevator Key and Charon’s Coin Bag to use the Boat.
