How to Store Items in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3)

Save your items for a rainy day.

With a game as big as Baldur’s Gate 3, the amount of quests, characters, companions, locations, and of course, items will oftentimes be more than we can count, or carry. In the case of items, weapons, and pieces of gear, your characters have a determined carry limit, limiting the number of items you can collect freely. Thankfully there is a way to store items in Baldur’s Gate 3, so continue reading to discover it.

How to Store Items in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3)

You will want to head to your camp to store items in Baldur’s Gate 3. Fast travel and you will find a treasure chest that will fulfill the function of safe storage. It is the Traveler’s Chest and you can store any items and gear you find during your adventures. It has unlimited capacity and supports all of your character’s unique items. You won’t have to upgrade the Chest to get more capacity. In fact, you don’t even need to visit the Traveler’s Chest physically at all.

Whenever you find an item you would prefer to store instead of carrying it with you in Baldur’s Gate 3, you can select the “send to camp” action. This will teleport the item to the Traveler’s Chest in your camp. This will streamline your experience while also preventing your character from carrying unnecessary items, weapons, and gear. There is also the “send to wares” action available for you, that will send your items to the quick sell slot. This will be especially useful whenever you meet a trader, allowing you to sell said items in bulk.

The Traveler’s Chest will store your items in Baldur’s Gate 3 with capacity limits whatsoever. Whenever you wish to collect your items, just fast-travel to your camp and collect them from the chest. You will then be able to travel back to the exact location you were before coming to the camp.
