These puzzles are seriously getting out of hand because Tears of The Kingdom has tons of them added to the game. Zelda fans are well aware of how extreme the puzzles can be in the game and sometimes they’re so annoying to the point where players are having to look for guides to get them out of trouble. That’s what we’re here for and one of those puzzles involves the Thundra Plateau secret cave. We’re going to teach you how to finish the Thundra Plateau secret cave puzzle you can come across in Tears of the Kingdom.
How to Beat the Thundra Plateau Secret Cave Puzzle
The first thing you’re going to want to do is to get to the secret cave. If you can’t find it you’re going to want to head to the center of Thundra Plateau. This is located right next to Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower and near Ludfo’s Bog. The exact coordinates are (-2268, 0889, 0110). If you’re wondering why there isn’t a cave at the location, this is part of the experience because accessing the cave is one giant puzzle.
In order to beat the secret cave entrance puzzle you’re going to want to have access to Ultra hand and have an axe handy. You need to also wait until it is noon because we’re going to be dealing with shadows. Craft a pillar using your Ultra hand ability and chop down trees. You will need at least four logs in order to craft the appropriate length of the pillar. Next, head to the south pillar and stand in the shadow. Connect the shadow from the north pillar with your handmade pillar. The shadows need to align in order to open up the secret cave.
Tips to Beat the Thundra Plateau Secret Cave
If you arrived after the allotted time you should immediately build a fire and wait until enough time has passed until it’s noon. It needs to be a little after noon because we’re focusing on shadows and if it’s too late in the day the shadow will not be visible. Another tip you can use is for when you don’t have an axe. This involves using the Autobuild ability. If you have recorded making wooden plants in the past you can use auto-build to build a pillar faster.
