How to Solve the Possessive Hornswog Puzzle in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is finally here, and it marks a return to form for the age-old MMORPG. In this ninth expansion is a treasure hunt that will require you to decipher a rather obtuse riddle. This riddle will lead you to three separate items, which you’ll then need to combine. If done correctly, you’ll have solved what is called the ‘Possessive Hornswog’ puzzle in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight.

How to Solve the Possessive Hornswog Puzzle

First, you need to locate the Possessive Hornswog. It can be found north of the Ruby Life Pools, located near a cave. In the vicinity of the Hornswog, you’ll find a book with the rather obtuse riddle we mentioned above. It reads as follows:

“Treasures held by one who croaks? Fear not, for I have an infallible hoax. One part bar of ivory slick to halt a most unwelcome kick. Seek out bubbles quite bizarre so that our simple trick might go far. One part prize of crescent gold, a wonderous flavor to behold. Find this bounty flung far and wide, only precious to those with fur pure white. And last but not least a pleasurable crunch, to give that ‘swog a delightful lunch. Abscond with a material so brittle and white it often gives everyone a fright.”

Does any of that make sense? If not, fear not! Here’s how to find and collect the three items you need:

1. You can find the Adventurer’s Lost Soap Bar (‘bar of ivory slick’) in the Dragonscale Base Camp, or, more accurately, it’s on a ridge as you enter the camp.
2. You can find Marmoni’s Prize (‘prize of crescent gold’) to the west of where you started, but slightly northeast from where you found the soap bar. It can be found in a stack of crates.
3. Locate the Well-Preserved Bone (‘a pleasurable crunch’) atop a tower to the north of the Ruby Life Pools.

It should be noted that these three items do not need to be found in any particular order. We just listed them in the order they appear in the riddle for clarity. As soon as you’ve found all three items, head back to the Possessive Hornswog, combine them, and this quest will be satisfied. As a prize for your efforts, you’ll receive the Roseate Hopper companion.
