Hogwarts Legacy has quickly shown gamers what the Harry Potter world has to offer, once again. Set in the 1800s and based off of J.K. Rowling’s original Wizarding World as described in the Harry Potter series, this game offers a new look on how the wizards and witches of Hogwarts live. Players will be able to join their ranks as a new 5th-year student who is coming to Hogwarts for their first time. Over the course of the game they will learn how to brew potions, cast spells and even potentially harness a mysterious ancient power!
There are many side quests, missions and puzzles in Hogwarts Legacy which have been added to spice up the game and provide the player with something to do when they’re taking a break from the main plot. One of these puzzles involves opening a door in the Faculty Tower of the school, and in this guide we go over how to do exactly that!

How Do You Open the South Wing Faculty Tower Door?
Opening the Faculty Tower Door in Hogwarts Legacy is fairly straightforward once you understand how it works. Here are all of the steps required to go about getting the door open.
- Firstly, make your way to the South Wing of the castle, after you have finished Gladwin’s first quest. If you try beforehand, you will not be able to get into this restricted area through the Floo Network.
- Each animal symbol in the door is related to a number from anywhere between zero to nine.
- For the top equation of the Faculty Tower Puzzle, you will want to equal 13.
- Do this by using Spider (worth 8 points) + 5 + Sloth (which is worth zero points). This will complete the first equation.
- The second problem requires us to equal 14 points.
- Get this number by first using the Elephant (which gives 2 points) + 3 + Killer Bacteria (9 points). This gets you to 14.
After you solve this, you will receive an item and a gear piece. Try to complete all of the Hogwarts Door Puzzles to receive even more rewards!
