How to Skip Straight to Sex in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3)

It’s been 13 days since the full release of Baldur’s Gate 3, and people are already figuring out the quickest way to get laid. Romancing is a prominent feature in the game, and it can almost seem inevitable for some players. On the other hand, people have taken this feature and made it the forefront of a speedrunning category. A Baldur’s Gate 3 player by the name of Mae posted an unusual speedrun of the game. Instead of trying to speedrun the story of the game (something they also do), they decided to see how quickly they could take a companion to bed. Something they accomplished in a little under 8 minutes. Prompting views to wonder how to skip straight to sex in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3).

Now obviously you’re not going to be able to bang any character, and certainly not nearly as quickly as someone who also held the WR for completing the main story of the game. However if you are looking to run the category, or just simply want to view how sex can play out as a different character, there are a few things you can do to help speed along the process. Keep in mind if you view Mae’s speedrun, it can be seen that they attempt to romance Lae’Zel. Due to the nature of their dialogue after the tutorial of the game, they are more susceptible to being rizzed up faster.

It should go without saying, but you’ll of course need to make sure Lae’Zel doesn’t die early on. After rescuing her from being trapped in a cage, go help defend the Druids’ Grove. Once you’re allowed in, make your way to the back of the settlement, where a Tiefling guard is watching over a locked door. You’ll then want to help Lae’Zel degrade the innocent guard, as this makes her lust over you. It should be apparent by now, that in order to have sex with companions quickly you’ll want to do whatever is most in line with their personality.

If your character recruited a companion you’re always able to talk to them and inquire about their personal quests, thoughts, and of course, feelings. In this case, once you’ve sufficiently talked down the Tiefling, you can then talk to Lae’Zel about your potential relationship. They will declare they want you, and as long as you don’t fumble at the goal line, you should be good to go from here. Long rest after this, and once you go to sleep, she’ll steal you away, and want to engage in the horizontal tango.
