How to Remap the Controls in God of War Ragnarök

Custom mapping all the way.

Oh man, you’re into a really great treat. God of War Ragnarök is finally out. That alone gives me the chills. Everyone is ready to continue Kratos and Atreus’ story throughout the nine realms of the Norse. Having said that, when I originally played God of War (2018) I was baffled by the default control mapping. Furthermore, my only God of War experiences were strictly limtied to button mashing. Therefore, using the bumpers and triggers to fight was sort of like an otherworldly experience. Now, I know for some it is the best way to play the game, but for yours truly, it was mind melting to say the least. I chose the alternate mapping and I was satisfied. However, God of War Ragnarök brings a whole level of control customization to the table. Here is how to remap the controls in God of War Ragnarök.

No, you don’t need to stick to a specific set of controls and get used to them. Those days of preset control profile mappings are over. I am pleased to tell you that in God of War Ragnarök, every single action and button can be customized. Oh man, the amount of customization is over 9000!

All you have to do in order to customize and map your controller as you like is to go to Settings and then Controller Remapping. Here you will find all moves and actions you can customize. You can even allocate actions to swipe features of the touchpad. So if you’re into that kind of thing, well you probably are the happiest fan on the planet.

Now you don’t have any excuse. Use the perfect mapping that will suit your skills and needs and go ahead and adventure yourself along Kratos and Atreus and experience God of War Rangarök.
