How to Release Deposited Pokémon on HOME

Whether you have the Basic Plan or are paying for Premium, you can view all of your Pokémon in the HOME App. Of course you are likely to fill the Cloud on the Basic Plan as you can only deposit 30 Pokémon. When this happens, you may wish to release Pokémon to deposit others from another Pokémon game. For those paying for Premium, you can hold up to 6,000 Pokémon. If your Box happens to be filled with deposited Pokémon or you have decided you no longer what specific Pokémon saved in the Cloud, you can release them via the HOME App. These are the steps to do so.

Step-by-Step Guide

  • Open the HOME App.
  • Go to your Pokémon Box via swiping right to the Pokémon Tab, where all of your deposited Pokémon are stored.
  • Press and hold on the Pokémon you want to select for release.
  • This will highlight them where check boxes in the top left will appear. Tap on any other Pokémon you want to release. This will allow you to release multiple stored Pokémon at once.
  • Click the blue button of three white dots in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
  • Select the option ‘Release all Selected Pokémon‘.
  • This will bring up a confirmation pop up window for you to select ‘Ok‘.

Any Pokémon you have made a favorite via the star icon in the top-right hand side of the Pokémon icon cannot be removed from the Cloud service. You will need to first highlight that Pokémon, click the three white dot button once more and then select ‘Unfavorite Pokémon’. You can do this a step before releasing multiple Pokémon. Simply select ‘Unfavourite all Selected Pokémon’. Once you confirm the removal of these Pokémon, they will immediately vanish from the Box. By doing this, you can start depositing Pokémon from other games directly into the Cloud.
