When it comes to getting things together, the first thing you’re going to want to do is head to the game’s main menu and select Lakeshore Online. This is how you can begin to play multiplayer with others. Lakeshore Online allows players to venture Lakeshore as they would in single-player, as an open-world but are also able to take each other on in PvP events.

Once you’ve selected Lakeshore Online, you’ll need to accept the prompt regarding the cross-platform nature of the game. From there, you’ll be able to choose a car and a character, just as you did in singe-player. Thise set is completely different from the campaign, so feel free to try new things.

You’re also able to earn money top use on purchasing cosmetics for your character, cosmetics and parts for your rides, as well as buy and sell cars altogether. Furthermore, you can also choose your own banner and snapshot to represent you on the road for other players to see.

Once you’re ready to play, select “Play” and you’ll be given a few choices. You can choose to find a game on your own, or you can invite friends to your party. It’ll allow you to choose from the friends list on your current gaming platform as well as your EA friends list. Additionally, if you can’t find the specific person you’re looking for on either list, you can press a dedicated button/key to search for a players.

Once you either invite someone or are invited yourself, you’ll load into a game and be able to free-roam, meeting up with new players to interact with, obtaining all of the collectibles you’re hunting in the campaign (these carry over), and play racing events.

To get an event started, you can either drive to a meetup location to choose which to start, or wait for another player to begin one for you to opt into playing. There is a minimum amount of players that need to join in order for races to begin, and they offer great rewards.
