How to Open the Safe and Get the Train Weapon Case in Warzone 2.0 DMZ – Guide and Rewards

Weird place to put a Safe

Brace yourself for the most hectic Call of Duty experience of your life. Because the latest Weapon Case in Al Mazrah can be found on the Train and on this constantly moving vehicle, there is not many places to stay for cover or take on the bullets flying at you from all angles. It is truly a fight for your life and the worst thing of all, you cannot just simply open the Safe with a tap of a button. No, you need to stay with the Safe as you try to open it, out in the open fields of Al Mazrah where all eyes will be on you. The Weapon Case is a moving giant yellow circle on the Map and something that most curious Soldiers cannot keep their eyes or hands off of. So, this guide will show you how to successfully loot the Safe and get the Train Weapon Case in Warzone 2.0 DMZ.

The Train Weapon Case Location

The latest Weapon Case added into Season 3 of DMZ can be found in Al Mazrah, on the continuously moving Train. Whilst that sounds like an easier task than taking on the Bombmaker in Tsuki Castle of Ashika Island, the narrow Train passages are the least of your worries. The Weapon Case can be found at the very end of the Train carriages, in the section that is out in the open with no cover whatsoever. So whilst you may have thought that you would be fighting other Operators inside the carriages, using minimal cover and perhaps hand-to-hand combat to survive, the reality is very different. The Train Weapon Case can be found within a Safe, located directly in the centre of the final carriage.

The Safe will become visible on the Map Overview if an Operator has began the drilling process of the Safe. if you do not see this Icon, you should visit the Train to see if the Safe has been opened. The Icon not being visible can either mean that no one has tried to open the Safe or that the Safe has already been opened and the contents removed.

To make matters so much worse, there is literally no cover to save you from Snipers, Launchers, Grenades or Operators flooding the Train and taking away your only cover – the carriages before the Safe. But if you have not attempted to drill the Safe, here is what you can expect.

How to Open the Safe on the Train

Not only with this naturally be a contested area due to it being a new Weapon Case, on a moving surface and visible throughout the Map if you are looking for the big question mark when you deploy into DMZ but, the second you start drilling into the Safe, all of the enemy AI will be alerted to your position. In fact, the entire lobby and the AI will be alerted to your position. But when the drilling begins, a Chopper will spawn in sending down enemy AI on a rappel line. You will also find yourself open to bullets coming from all sides and not knowing where the AI are at the time that they open fire. For this reason, the second you start drilling, take to the cover of the covered carriage in front of/behind you.

Prioritise the Chopper

You want to focus your attention on the Chopper that spawns in as its carrying the majority of enemy Ai that you do not want rappelling down and loose onto the Train Tracks. So, pop in and out of cover, focussing your attention on taking the Chopper out. Make sure that you have more than enough ammo on an Assault Rifle or even bringing a Launcher to take out the Chopper as other Weapons are useless in this moment.

Multiple Choppers will be sent out over time so keep that in mind as you are travelling on the Train. Carrying a Munitions Box can help you replenish that lost ammo you will have used on the first Chopper.

Use Cover Whenever you Can

Unfortunately you need to be standing on the final platform to drill the Safe. Even though you are not fixed in an animation to drill the Safe, its progress bar will not go up if you spend the entire time in the covered carriages. For this reason, you need to clear the enemy AI first coming in from the Chopper, then return to the Safe and focus your attention on possible Operators trying to steal the rewards. The Train Weapon Case is best looted in a Squad, otherwise playing this Solo can be overwhelming and short-lived due to the mass amounts of enemies that fill the area, including other enemy players.

If you work with a Squad, try to switch out with your teammates so that you are preserving your health whilst also progressing on the Safe.

Your Loadout Matters

We recommended using Assault Rifles and Launchers, but we also recommend that players use the Riot Shield. This will provide safety towards your back and makes you a harder target to take out for possible Operator Snipers in the surrounding area. Using Semtex and Thermites will allow you to stick Nades onto the surface of the Train, giving you accuracy and time to shield and stop enemies from charging at you if you get cracked. Speaking of getting cracked, make sure that you have an Armored Vest and enough plates, especially if you are attempting this Solo.

For Tactical Equipment, we recommend Stims as these will help you regain health quickly so that you are not risking getting downed in the fight. If you are playing Solo, you should have a Self Revive Kit and when your health is getting low, get to cover in the Train carriages so that you are not found out in the open, next to the Safe. Alternatively, using Smoke Grenades will give you more than enough cover next to the Safe and should be used when Snipers are shooting at you or when you need to Restart the drill as this can happen often during the drilling process.

What Rewards you Get From the Train Weapon Case

If there is no yellow question mark Icon on the Map then the Safe on the Train is not a Weapon Case but rather a Safe you need to open for a new Faction Mission. When the question mark is there, you know that the Safe will give you Weapon Case Rewards once opened. You also know when the Safe has the Weapon Case inside when the Safe itself is yellow instead of silver. Exfiling with the Weapon Case in your Backpack will give you 10,000XP. This is currently the only reward that you get by opening the Safe and extracting the Weapon Case.

The Al Mazrah Weapon Case Rewards are:

  • LMG ‘Caution Tape – Do Not Cross’ Camo (Extract 1 Weapon Case)
  • Jungle Incognito Vehicle Camo (Extract 2 Weapon Case)
  • Biohazard Weapon Sticker (Extract 3 Weapon Case)
  • Gas Gas Gas Charm (Extract 4 Weapon Case)
  • Weapon Crate Customize Emblem (Extract 5 Weapon Case)
  • Weapon Crate Customize Calling Card (Extract 6 Weapon Case)
  • Biohazard Operator Skin (Extract 7 Weapon Case)

The Train Weapon Case of the Safe drilling appears to have replaced the previous Weapon Case with the Juggernaut. But by collecting and extracting this Weapon Case you will get the Rewards listed above and 10,000XP when the Safe is not a Weapon Case in Al Mazrah.
