Well, fear not, as it is really easy to open them, albeit it is a little tedious. If you are familiar with the base game, then this mechanic will be very familiar to you.
Firstly, the gates will always be accompanied by a slime plort statue. These statues won’t usually stray too far from their corresponding gate, some being right next to them. The statues will represent a slime with a slot where the mouth usually is.
These slots happen to be the perfect shape and size of a plort. You must find the plort of the slime that the statue represents. Don’t worry if you don’t have one on you, you’ll never be far from plorts in Slime Rancher 2!
Simply shoot that plort into the statue’s plort slot, and watch as the door jars open.
