Making a good and working layout in IXION is probably the most fundamental thing you can do before thinking of progressing through the game. Considering the number and types of building and commercial units we have in the game, it is vital to plan them in their respective sectors.
While we don’t know if there is a “Perfect” layout out there, we have some tips to help you set your own amazing layout in the game.
Tips for Making a Perfect Layout in IXION
There are many types of buildings you need to place in each sector including Workshops, Stockpiles, Infirmary, Mess Hall, etc. Planning a layout is crucial to keep things organized.
Sector Area
Before constructing buildings, it is important to know the total area of each sector in the game. You have 56 x 30 tiles, which comes to 1680 tiles of area. Now, each building has its own size, which you need to keep in mind while constructing.
Specialize Sectors Before Building
As you progress in the game, you will realize it’s normal to have multiple sectors. Each sector should have a specific reason to exist. You can construct one or two other buildings which are necessary, but it’s best to have a purpose behind each sector.
Space and Roads
It’s best to use the space in each sector optimally and minimize wastage of tiles. Also, remember to interconnect all the building with roads, because without them, the building won’t function.
