How to Kill Demons in Sons of the Forest

Sons of the Forest is a survival horror game where you’re off on a mission to rescue a billionaire on a remote island. Unfortunately as you traverse and learn more about the island you’ll soon realize that it’s infested with cannibals. In order to survive this game you need to learn how to build, craft, and live on your own. One of the main enemies you can encounter in the game are demons, and man, are they terrifying. Especially when night time falls and you just come across them. Here’s what you can do to defend yourself and how to kill demons in Sons of the Forest.

If you were curious and thought to yourself ‘hey what’s in that cave?’ Do yourself a favor and just don’t do it. Unfortunately now that you’re on this remote island you have to deal with the evil that lurks amongst it. If you went against your gut feeling and decided to be an idiot and travel into the cave you may find yourself encountering demons. Demons are an end game enemy that look like they can’t put up much of a fight due to their stature, however, looks can be deceiving.

If you’re reading this article there’s a high possibility you’re reading it because you just keep dying from demons. Thankfully, there is a way to deal with them. There’s really only one way to kill demons and that involves a cross. Yes, you need a cross. We’re talking about demons here. Demons are scary and need to be dealt with by using a cross. In order to fight demons you need to equip a cross and start attacking it at least three times. That’s all you need to do since they’re weak against holy artifacts.

Cross in Sons of the Forest

Sons of the Forest introduces the ability to use a cross to fight off demons. If you don’t have access to one it will probably be almost impossible to defeat a demon. This is their weakness, so, it’s best to find one before you go exploring in a cave. You can find a cross easily by going to the northeastern bunker by the coast. You will also need to have access to a maintenance card from maintenance hatch A. Once you’re inside you have to reach level 4.

After you have reached level 4 you need to take a left turn and go across the room. Once you have taken an exit from all the rooms, take a right turn and go down the stairs. You then need to take 2 left turns, this will take you to a private room. Once you’re in the room you will see a hanging corpse. The cross will be located on a desk that is on the left of the dining table.
