One of the challenges for the NY City level in THPS is to grind the Subway Rails. You may be confused because the gates are closed. If this is the case, check out our guide on how to collect 5 Subway Cards first. That challenge unlocks the gates for you to complete this park goal. Here’s how to grind the Subway Rails in NY City in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2.

The subway entrance is the 125 Street Station, which is close in front of where you spawn into the level. Head over to the location, and if the gates are closed, be sure to collect your Subway Cards first.

To complete this challenge, you’ll need to grind the entirety of the subway rails. If you have trouble balancing for that long, you can throw some points into the grind stats. Doing this helps you grinding balance so you can go for longer distances.

Get some speed and start grinding on any of the subway rails. Make sure to hold the grind until the quest completion prompt pops up on your screen. Once you finish, you can hop down and end the run or continue onto some other challenges.

Here’s a video of me completing the task if you want to follow along.
