I could have a million dollars every time that a game changing mechanic is introduced and people just complain without them giving it a chance. And while I understand that people have their likes and dislikes, at least give things like this a shot. You see, Need for Speed Unbound is out and one of its major changes has to do with the graphics. While the cars and environment are hyperrealistic, the characters and effects are made in a cartoonish aesthetic. I, personally, like this implementation and will give it a shot whenever I can. After all, while racing games are not my cup of tea necessarily, I believe some experimentation is necessary. An example could be the Hot Wheels Forza Horizon 5 DLC. But anyway, here is how to get wings in Need for Speed Unbound, one of the several cartoonish effects present in the game.
How to Get Wings in Need for Speed Unbound
No, you don’t need to drink any type of beverage or be a mutant in the Marvel Universe. You see, the mix between hyperrealistic and cartoonish aesthetics promises a unique experience for the new Need for Speed game. And while you can certainly turn off these effects for a more, let’s say, realistic and visual appealing gameplay, these effects can bring a certain shine and sparkle to a franchise that has released 25 games to this point.
If you choose to keep this effects on, you will be greeted with several eye candy that for some will be very appealing. One of these effects are the wings, which will appear whenever you are in the middle of a jump. Catching wind will bring the wings. You don’t have to do anything else to make them appear or unlock them. And while this won’t provide a certain boost or make you glide like in Mario Kart 8, it sure does look great, at least in my opinion.

So be sure to not-fly with your effect wings like a motorized penguin and be sure to win those races and sport your cartoonish effects like there is no tomorrow. And if people criticize you for using the effects, too bad, their loss.
