How to get Titanium in Outriders

Titanium is basically the coolest metal in the world. It’s lightweight, super tough, and besides all that, it’s just fun to say. Tell me you don’t get a little tingle in your spine when you say “titanium.” I dare you. In a grimy world like that of Outriders, such a fancy metal is no doubt in high demand, and for good reason too. Here’s how to get Titanium in Outriders.

Titanium is one of the three main crafting resources in Outriders, alongside Iron and Leather. The thing about Titanium versus Iron and Leather, though, is that while you can dismantle any weapon or armor piece to obtain Iron and Leather, Titanium can only be obtained from the absolute best of the best. If an item isn’t Epic or Legendary grade, you’re not getting any Titanium from it. You’ll need Titanium if you want to improve your weapons and armor up to Legendary grade, so you should endeavor to get your hands on as much of the stuff as you can.

How to get Titanium in Outriders

The primary method of obtaining Titanium is dismantling Epic or Legendary grade items. You can also purchase Titanium in exchange for scrap from Bailey, the NPC in camp. It costs 1,625 Scrap for 5 Titanium, and you can adjust the amount you buy at one time. Buying in bulk will cost you an arm and a leg, so make sure you’ve got a lot of scrap to waste before you go down that path.

I know it’s tempting to hold onto the rare stuff for dear life, but if you’re not actively using it, it’s not doing you any favors just sitting in your bag. Dismantle it and get some of that sweet Titanium goodness.

Aside from that, there are a couple of other ways to get Titanium, and they all relate to your World Tier. When you raise your World Tier high enough, not only will you receive payments of Titanium for free on certain levels, you’ll also improve the odds of finding Titanium in the wild. When your World Tier is at a sufficient level, Titanium will start occurring naturally in lootable chests and ore deposits, albeit at a low probability. Stronger enemies brought about by higher World Tiers may also drop Titanium when killed. Elite Captains, one of the tougher late-game enemy types, almost always drop some Titanium when killed, so you’d do well to get good at fighting them.
