You can obtain golden versions of all the basic tools in New Horizons. The game does not explicitly tell you how to accomplish this, though. In this guide, we’ll take a look at how to get the Golden Slingshot in Animal Crossing New Horizons. The method we use is the quickest way we found to get the Golden Slingshot from scratch.
How to get the Golden Slingshot in Animal Crossing New Horizons
The Golden Slingshot recipe can be found after shooting down 300 balloons from the sky. That means this recipe will drop on balloon number 301. After completing the slingshot achievement, you’ll find the Golden Slingshot DIY Recipe.
You should have no problem obtaining the Golden Slingshot just by playing through the game normally. However, there are some people out there that just got New Horizons and want to unlock it as fast as possible.
Bunny Day Event
First, you will want to time travel to Bunny Day Event, which is on April 12, 2020. Normally, you can get 12 balloons to spawn every hour. On Bunny Day, you get a bonus 2 balloons every 5 minutes which brings the total to 36 balloons an hour.
Buy Slingshots
The first thing you should do is buy ten slingshots from Nook’s Cranny. Next, you should know that Balloons spawn on the right side of your island from 5 am to 5 pm, and the left side of your island from 5 pm to 5 am.
Know the Location
Your island will have a piece of land that extends out into the water on either the left or right side. Take note of where that piece of land is, and time travel to the necessary time of day. For example, ours is on the right side of the island so we want to do this between 5 am and 5 pm to catch the balloons as they spawn over there.
Listen for Balloons
Next, you can just listen for the Balloons to spawn. They will make a wind-like noise as they fly overhead. You may miss some every so often, but you can basically farm for your Golden Slingshot by not paying attention and just listening for the sound. Happy farming!
