What you need
Steel is a fantastic resource in The Survival Game that is strong and powerful. It is, however, also the hardest to get. If you want to get steel quickly, then you’ll need to be focused. You will need the Steel Smithy unlocked and placed and bucket loads of coal and iron. This is because steel is an alloy of iron and carbon, so you’ll need both of those to make it.
If you haven’t already, then you’ll need to build the copper smithy and then the iron smithy before building the steel smithy, so you’ll need a pickaxe which can be built from the crafting bench.
To find iron, search around the map for a boulder. Whenever there is a boulder, you can mine it down to reveal a huge pocket of iron. There is one such boulder in a cave in between the two large soldier statues. Coal spawns very frequently, so there won’t be a problem finding that.
If you want to be efficient, don’t waste iron on iron equipment and save everything for the steel equipment.

Smelting steel
Once you have the Steel Smithy up and running, you’ll need 5 coal and 10 iron to produce one steel bar. It is very expensive, which is why you should gather a lot of iron from the get-go. Once you have all of your steel, however, you’ll be able to take on any player!
