Acquiring raw meat

To cook your food, you first need to get your hands on some. There are wild animals roaming all over the place in Booga Booga Reborn, so finding a creature should be easy. SImply walk up to a Bantu or raft up to a shark and begin beating them with your rock, or whatever weapon you have to hand.

Upon killing them, they will drop raw food, and perhaps other items depending on the animal. There is raw fish and raw meat, depending on what creature you kill.

You can also get your hands on raw fish by setting up fish traps in any body of water.

You can simply opt to eat the raw meat, however it will cost some health and will hardly satiate your hunger. It is always best to cook your food.

Building the campfire

The only way to cook your food is through the use of a campfire. They can be easily built through the construction menu. Either click on it or press ‘C’. You will have access to the campfire at level 1.

The campfire costs 2 logs, which you can harvest from driftwood or trees, or any other source of wood. Once you have the two logs, you can build it and place it anywhere that is applicable. The campfire will turn green if you can place it. Click to place it.

Now that you have your campfire, all that is left is to cook your food. Go into your inventory by pressing ‘C’. Go to the food section indicated by a carrot. Hovering your mouse over your items will tell you their names. Find all of your raw food. Right click to drop them. As long as your raw food lands anywhere near an active campfire, a green bar will spring up which will indicate that it is cooking. When it is full, the raw meat will turn brown, showing that it is cooked. You can either put the cooked food in your inventory or eat it there.

Upon placement, the campfire will be a full fuel, but will gradually decline. To refuel the campfire, simply click on it. A menu will appear with all potential fuel sources, some providing more fuel than others. CLick on the items to increase the lifespan of the fire. If the campfire’s fuel goes to 0, it will burn out, but you can always add more fuel to start it up again.
