Candy Crush has a lot of cool features, but not all of them come with instruction manuals. If you’re feeling a bit confused about how to deal with Candy Crush’s candy frog feature, don’t worry, you’re not the only one! Keep reading to find out how to utilize/get rid of the candy frog in Candy Crush.
How to Get Rid of the Candy Frog in Candy Crush
The only way to “get rid of” the candy frog is by feeding him! You can’t fully remove the frog from your board, but you can move him around to new tiles using a very simple method. All you need to do to move the candy frog in Candy Crush is match him with similar-colored candies until he gets “full”; you’ll know when he gets full because, after about a dozen or so matches, he’ll start to glow/flash. Once he’s full, you’ll be able to pick him up and move him to anywhere you want on the board! This is particularly helpful for making extra matches and getting extra points.
There are a few spots where you won’t be able to place him, such as squares that have licorice locks or similarly blocked squares, but as long as it’s not on a locked square, you should have no trouble placing him down. Once the candy frog has been placed, he will smash all surrounding candies, including squares with locked candies! After he’s been smashed once, he’ll revert back to his original (non-glowing) form, and you’ll get to repeat the process.
