How to get Puffshrooms in Bee Swarm Simulator

There's a fungus among us.

Maybe I’ve just become paranoid from watching too many fungal zombie movies, but when I hear about mushrooms that launch puffs of gas, I naturally become suspicious. Luckily, the Puffshrooms in Bee Swarm Simulator won’t trigger a zombie apocalypse, and can actually prove quite beneficial to you when properly handled. Here’s how to get Puffshrooms in Bee Swarm Simulator.

How to get Puffshrooms in Bee Swarm Simulator

Puffshrooms are large capped mushrooms that can occasionally appear in your fields. While not overtly harmful to your flora or fauna, they do take up a lot of space, so you’ll want to get rid of them as soon as they crop up. Don’t worry, this is actually their intended purpose: clearing out Puffshrooms rewards you with lots of item drops, moreso if it’s a rarer genus of Puffshroom.

Puffshrooms spawn at random at the 15 and 45 minute marks of every hour of the day, appearing in a random field. You can also spawn them deliberately by harvesting any planters that have little puffs of brown smoke coming out of them. Depending on the size of the initial Puffshroom spore that spawned it, you’ll get Puffshrooms of different sizes and rarities, including:

  • Common
  • Rare
  • Epic
  • Legendary
  • Mythic

Rarer Puffshrooms will drop rarer, more plentiful loot when cleared out.

When a Puffshroom spawns, two meters appear above it: a pollen meter and a 5-minute timer. Your goal is to collect enough pollen in the Puffshroom’s vicinity to completely fill the meter before the timer runs out and the Puffshroom despawns. If you can fill the pollen meter, the Puffshroom will transform into spores and spread to other fields, dropping goodies for all nearby players in the process. These goodies include Treats, Honey, Gumdrops, and more, though if you didn’t personally contribute to clearing out a Puffshroom, you can only get Treats and Honey from it.

The spores from a cleared Puffshroom will venture to other nearby fields, creating more Puffshrooms. Puffshrooms spawned in this manner will usually have higher pollen meters, but also have a chance to spawn at a higher rarity. Basically, you want to get a chain going, quickly clearing Puffshrooms out to get bigger and better loot. Do note that Puffshroom loot has a daily limit, and will gradually dwindle to a stopping point the more you get. When it runs out, you’ll have to wait until the next day to get more.

Keep a close eye on any blooming Puffshroom populations and deal with them swiftly to maximize your gains. It’s like truffle hunting without the pigs!
