How to Get Plaguebearer in Borderlands 3

  • Weapon: Plaguebearer (Legendary Launcher)
  • Area: Eden 6, The Anvil
  • Boss: Warden
  • Difficulty: Mayhem 6+

First, make sure you are playing on Mayhem 6 difficulty or higher to get this weapon. If you’re playing Mayhem 5 or below, you will never see this item drop.

Head over to Eden 6 at The Anvil. The boss we want to farm for the Plaguebearer is Warden, and he’s located all the way at the end of the map. As is the case with most bosses, you will see a save point before you get to the boss. Be sure to hit that up so your run to the boss will be quick in the future.

This weapon is essentially a combination of the Scourge and the Lump, though it does have much higher damage and not as high of an ammo cost. When you fire the launcher, it shoots out a big ball of energy with projectiles surrounding it similar to the scourge. It takes 3 ammo per shot as opposed to 4 ammo per shot of the Scourge.

It takes a bit for the weapon to charge, but it deals massive damage. The main projectile travels through the air pretty slow, but it spawns additional smaller orbs on impact that seek out other nearby enemies.
