Mechbird is best mount in Tower of Fantasy!

Do you want to know how to get the Mechbird Core in Tower of Fantasy? You know, that bird mount that looks like a Final Fantasy Chocobo just gave birth in Horizon Zero West? Well we can’t blame you. It looks dope and it checks off a couple nostalgia boxes for us, too. And seeing as to how it is a mount, it’s one of the coolest ways to get around the map in the game, hands down. So want to know how to ride it off into the sunset? First a bit about the mounts aka vehicles in Tower of Fantasy.

To lessen the daunting nature of traversal, there are many mounts in this game. They are mechanical vehicles that look either like real animals meched out, or some cool, weird, sci fi vibe creature. The mechbird is definitely the former and the latter. A robotic chocobo/emu hybrid that looks as cool as it is fast. This bird runs like us when we hear there are donuts in the break room, and here’s how you get it.

How To Get Mechbird Core in Tower of Fantasy

To use the Mechbird for traversal, you need to first collect all four of these parts and assemble them together.

  • Mechbird: Head
  • Mechbird: Torso
  • Mechbird: Legs
  • Mechbird: Core

While every vehicle in Tower of Fantasy can be created using various different parts, they are not all acquired through the exact same methods. Some parts are dropped from different monster encounters, while others are rewarded to you for completing the various event quests. But don’t get discouraged, they can be obtained!

As for the Mechbird itself, each of the four parts is a special reward for the Road Strife Global Launch event. These parts are acquired during week four of the event and you can keep tabs on them by checking the rewards overview page (and here with us) for more details.

It’s a relatively simple way to get what we consider the best mount in the game. So remember, week four of the Road Strife Global Launch. Set an alarm so you don’t miss it. And keep checking back here for Tower of Fantasy questions you may have.
