How to Get Lacewing Flies in Hogwarts Legacy

Time flies, and so do flies.

I remember capturing insects in small jars for the biology class during middle school. I am not a fan of insects, but the experience was, well, interesting to say the least. Of course, we let the insects go afterward, we didn’t plan to make any magic potions whatsoever. I cannot say that about wizards in Hogwarts, though, but that’s how things go! And now that we have naturally talked about insect gathering, here is how to get Lacewing flies in Hogwarts Legacy.

How to Get Lacewing Flies

Lacewing flies, also known as lacewings, are small insects that are characterized for their laced and transparent wings. Yes, naming this insect was a no-brainer. These are most known as one of the ingredients used in the Polyjuice Potion. You know, the one that makes you assume the form of someone else. In Hogwarts Legacy, you will need Lacewing flies in order to concoct both Focus Potion and Felix Felicis. Focus potion will reduce the spell’s cooldowns, while Felix Felicis will display all equipment chests in the map for one in-game day.

You will be able to find Lacewing flies in both Hogsmeade and Keenbridge. Purchase them from J. Pippins Potions and Hamlet Shop for 100 gold respectively. Alternatively, you can find them gathering in bushes that are found in the wild. Approach them and if white diamonds appear over them, then you will be able to interact with them to collect them in your inventory. You can also find Fluxweed Stems and Dugbog Tongue while interacting with bushes. A good area to look for all these ingredients is in the path towards Hogsmeade.

That’s pretty much it! Just be sure to shake all the bushes in existence, and you will be able to collect those lacewings. Alternatively, of course, just support the local businesses and purchase them. Either way, you will be able to get them without any hitch, I hope. Good luck in your search!
