Slime Rancher 2 is more than just a cutesy, silly game about wrangling slimes and caring for them. There is also a significant element of science and crafting. This so-called Slime Science is a key element of the game, giving plorts another purpose and giving you another excuse to run around the beautiful islands some more. One of the key resources is Jellystone. Here is how to get Jellystone in Slime Rancher 2.
What is Jellystone used for in Slime Rancher 2?
Jellystone is a key ingredient for many gadgets and upgrades in Slime Science. Some of the most important upgrades requires the stuff.
Jellystone is used to upgrade your health and energy, construct the pulse wave, and upgrade your vac tanks’ capacities.
It is also used for utilities and warp tech, namely the Refinery Link, one of the most useful items in the game that allows you to deposit to your refinery from any place in the islands.
How to get Jellystone in Slime Rancher 2
Jellystone is found exclusively on rocky surfaces in the Rainbow fields, so you won’t have to go far to get lots. They will spawn around periodically and they are round purple-pink deposits jutting out of rock. You must break the Jellystone free from its resource node.
However, your vacpac cannot simply harvest from any resource node straight away. You must research the resource harvester upgrade from the fabricator (don’t worry – no Jellystone is required!) before your vacpac can collect resources from the environment.

Once your vacpac is upgraded, go into the Rainbow fields and search on the rocks and stone surfaces. The Jellystone deposits can even be found in caves and caverns. For the best results, keep your search to the western half of the Rainbow Fields.
Once you find a deposit, simply suck in with your upgraded vacpac and see the deposit shake. It will soon crumble and unleash 2 – 3 Jellystone. Make sure to keep sucking to collect all the Jellystone!
Once you have the Jellystone, you can deposit it into your refinery and call it a day.
