What are Faction Missions?

Faction Missions are the primary gameplay mechanic of DMZ. As you deploy into the Maps: Building 21, Al Mazrah and the new Ashika Island, players can complete Contracts and hit objectives part of the Faction Missions. Multiple Missions can be done at once across the Factions in a single deployment. The Faction Missions offer rewards for the players upon completion. Such as Operator Skins, Contraband Weapons to use a large amounts of XP. With Season 2’s arrival, the Faction Missions have reset. These are still a core part of the game, with various old Missions being changed upgraded.

For Season 2 however, not only have these Missions seen a change and reset but, players will also be able to try something new with the latest Faction: Crown. These will offer another set of Missions to complete, with new rewards and a lot of XP to earn.

How to Unlock Crown Faction Missions

Whilst the Crown Faction is one of the latest arrivals to accompany the new Ashika Island for Season 2, there is a catch if you want to play the new Faction Missions. This is that only those who have purchased Modern Warfare 2 will have access to these Missions. DMZ is a great Game Mode that, just like Warzone Battle Royale, is free for anyone to play. This free Mode includes the four main Factions that we all have grown used to playing. However, for those who want to try out the new Crown Faction Missions, you will have to purchase Modern Warfare 2 in order to play.

This ask may come a quite a shock for some players who have been grinding the Game Mode via its free-to-play access. But now, in order to unlock the new Faction Missions and try Crown out for yourself, you must pay for the entire game, Modern Warfare 2. Do keep in mind however that Ashika and the rest of Season 2, outside of the Crown Faction is still free-to-play. So there will be enough for players to get excited about. Especially as the Faction Missions of Black Mous, White Lotus and Legion have had a reset for the new Season.
