How to Fix Dead Space Not Saving Bug

As mentioned, users on r/DeadSpace are experiencing issues that make saving the game impossible. In addition, it looks like the game’s autosave is also disabled in these cases. It might not be a bug that affects every user — the original poster was playing on PC through EA Play Pro, for example — but it helps to know how to fend off these errors regardless.

“I’m at the first usable save station and after going through the process it doesn’t seem to actually be saving anything,” u/SinsOfaDyingStar said in a post on r/DeadSpace. “No save slots are taken up and when I go into the menu to check out the load option, it’s greyed out like I have no saves.” As of writing, one other user has commented, saying they are having the same problem.

So — how would you fix this problem if you experience it? At present, the best method is to report the bug to EA as soon as you encounter it. If you use the official support channels, you can bring the support team’s attention to this matter sooner. Ideally, this’ll result in an official patch. Aside from that, you can also try to uninstall and reinstall the game and see if the problem still persists.
