Where to Find Cartel Members in Al Mazrah

The new season of Modern Warfare 2 brings many new changes towards its DMZ Game Mode. From Bartering Systems to Contraband Workbenches, and the arrival of new enemies to face. These enemies however are unlike the Al Qatala militia who you will be very used to facing in the original DMZ Map, Al Mazrah. Whilst the AI difficulty may have increased for the likes of Ashika Island, the common enemies in Al Mazrah remain easy to defeat, with no armor and little response to your bullets. Finding the Cartel however is important for Tier 1 Missions in the Redacted Faction – ‘Cartel Investigation’ and ‘Upgraded Arsenal’.

To locate Cartel Members you will find these at Hafid Port, specifically near the Train Tracks rather than the Port itself. You should check the roads between Sa’id City and Hafid Port and around the Warehouse. Whilst there is no distinct visual aid of locating the Cartel, rather you need to specifically find the members and not a base itself, you will get the prompt that you located the Cartel by the ‘Cartel Investigation’ first Objective getting ticked off. These AI are unlike other AI on the Map in regard to their appearance.

Cartel Member Appearance and How to Kill

The Cartel look more like GTA players rather than anything you would typically see in Call of Duty. Their appearance is that of wearing a black balaclava and casual clothes, usually jeans and a white tee. Whilst other members are dressed in black with hoods up or wearing hats. Another great way of spotting the Cartel is if their bodies disappear after being killed. This happens really quickly and can be used as a way of determining what enemy you have just taken out. Their time to kill is also incredibly quick, being that of 6-10 bullets in an AR Magazine, similar to Al Qatala militia.
