One of the best ways of trying to target specific pieces of gear is by running the dungeons or raids that drop the desired. Running these dungeons over and over again is known as farming. However, farming is not something that is straightforward or explained to guardians when they first start the game.

So how can players run the newest dungeon encounters as many times as they want? Read on to find out.

Farming Spire of the Watcher in Destiny 2

When completing any dungeon or raid in Destiny 2, players will be able to save their progress for the week when they reach certain areas or clear bosses. These are known as checkpoints, and players can see their saved checkpoints when they are in orbit. When the dungeon or raid they wish to run is selected, they will see an icon that looks like a GPS symbol. Hovering the cursor over this will let players know what their saved checkpoint is.

To farm a raid or dungeon such as Spire of the Watcher, players will need to play through the first part of the dungeon and get to the encounter they wish to start. When they get there, they should let themselves be defeated, and then exit to orbit. This will lock in their checkpoint at the boss.

Once they are back in the orbit, they can have their teammates join them, and enter back into the dungeon. After doing so, the player with the checkpoint should immediately exit the dungeon and come back on another character.

This is because then, the fireteam can slay the boss, get the loot, and then leave the dungeon. Players can then log back onto the character with the checkpoint again, make another fireteam, and repeat the process. Players can do this as many times as they wish, and they will be able to save time and effort from running the entire thing over from scratch.

With enough time and patience, players will be able to get the exact roll they want for all of the new gear from Spire of the Watcher in Destiny 2.
