Hunt: Showdown receives constant updates with new events, lore bits and goodies to unlock. Keeping the momentum going even through the New Year with Devil’s Moon, this latest event saw a great overhaul to the Event Points system. Crytek has made things that much more easy to advance through the Event levels to fully complete the Battle Pass, be it for free or paid. Here’s everything you need to know when tackling any number of its Events – although for the sake of providing examples, we are giving a breakdown and look at said Devil’s Moon event specifically.
How to farm Event Points in Hunt: Showdown
Players will want to be racking up Event Points to put towards unlocking exclusive and new benefits that come with each update and event. For example, these tend to be Legendary items such as skins, weapons, consumables and charms. This is no different with the Devil’s Moon event. Other than the event requiring its players to simply play the game to go up the levels of its Battle Pass, weekly challenges has seen an overhaul.
The rule here is quite simple – play the game as often as you can. The weekly challenge rewards are bonuses if you can pull off the more challenging ones since the standard “do 400 damage to Hunters” is easy enough. But doing these weekly challenges is not necessary to complete the Event due to how long players have to finish it and the amount of Points rewarded for carrying out the simplest core activities and mechanics to the game.
Here’s the breakdown of how Event Points can and are accumilated:
- Interacting with an event Clue or Rift – 10 EP
- Banishing a boss – 12 EP
- Extracting a bounty token – 30 EP
- Interacting with a Soul Trap – 6 EP
- Destroying Soul Trap – 3 EP
- Looting an enemy Hunter – 12 EP
- Becoming a “Soul Survivor” – 30 EP

With the new challenge system, the rewards given are 30 stars, 25 blood bonds and 6400 event points. That is 5500 without the Battle Pass instead. Alongside a more than manageable time frame for the event are global boosters; time based contracts at reduced prices. These can be found within the store tab under the events section. Players can choose to spend hunt dollars on event levels, allowing players to completely skip 1 to 10 levels in as many times as the player desires. If you are down on free time to simply play the game enough to naturally rank up, then this is a possibility. Likewise, the contracts listed below these options give percentage up bonuses for a certain amount of hours or days
Otherwise, the way to go in tackling any number of events in the game in a free-to-play style is as simple as this – complete challenges to earn stars, fulfil milestones and obtain event points. Check off the challenges that are doable and reshuffle the ones you want to scrap.
Players should also suit up their Hunters with specific Traits that will help in farming, such as Vulture. Standard in-game completions of tasks and objectives such as killing and banishing a Boss, defeating other Hunters and looting them will award players with Pledge Marks and Points. Furthermore, take advantage of stacking bonuses. A go-to tactic here is to obtain any Boosted Hunter when they become available in a free reshuffle and unlock the trait Death Cheat on them. Alongside the event exclusive trait, Signee, this will prevent your Hunter from ever dying and still reward you for bonus points (10%) for having just played as them.
