How to Evolve Fidough in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Is that some sourdough? No, it's a Fidough!

Fidough, one of the new Fairty-type Pokémon of the many new additions to Generation 9 in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Fidough is just one of the many new Pokémon in Generation 9 that you can level up and evolve. Here is how to capture and evolve Fidough in Scarlet and Violet.

Where to Capture Fidough

Fidough can be found in the Paldea region Provinces:

  • South Province (Area One)
  • West Province (Area Three)
  • South Province (Area Six)
  • East Province (Area Three)
  • South Province (Area Two)
  • South Province (Area Three)

Fidough has the ability to never be confused in a fight. This is a very helpful ability to have against Psychic Pokémon. Level up your Fidough through regular battles to gain the most amount of EXP possible in one fight. You can also hold Fidough in your party and not use them. Just like Arceus, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has EXP sharing, therefore even if you do not use your Pokémon in battle, they will still gain experience points so long as they are in your party. Because of this mechanic that was added in for the recent Pokémon releases, it is easier than ever to level-up multiple Pokémon in one go.

How to Evolve Fidough

Fidough can evolve into Dachsbun. Unlike other Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet, such as Greavard, Fidough does not have specific requirements in order to evolve. All players need to do to evolve Fidough into Dachsbun is to get Fidough to Level 26. Upon leveling up to Level 26, Fidough will evolve into its stronger counterpart, Dachsbun. Of course, you do not need to evolve Fidough and can continue to level up until its max level cap. In this case, Dachsbun can be found in the Provinces:

  • South Province (Area One)
  • West Province (Area Three)
  • South Province (Area Six)
  • East Province (Area Three)
  • South Province (Area Three)
  • South Province (Area Two)

Dachsbun has the ability to block Fire-type attacks. Not only this but, Dachsbun also protects themselves and other party members from attacks that affect movement choices. If you are a player that loves to use Fairy-type Pokémon, then Dachsbun is the perfect fit into your new Scarlet and Violet party. The road to evolving Fidough is simple: find and level up.
