How to Escape from the Monster in the Forest in Children of Silentown

So there you are, in the middle of Chapter 4, just about to escape from the clutches of that evil and giant monster. When suddenly, out of nowhere, he was you well covered and about to detect you and end your brief 12 year old life. Well, hold on to your life, my friend, this isn’t your hour yet. You see, there are a couple of things you begin to understand once you grow older, and one of them is that even in impossible scenarios, there is something that can be done. And that is the case of ours, right as we are about to exit the forest and go back to Silentown. There are three different corridors, all parallel between each other, with several vines in the middle with no apparent purpose. Here is how to escape from the monster in the forest in Children of Silentown.

How to Escape from the Monster in the Forest

Well, in order to escape from the clutches of the monster, there are two rules that you must know. One, you can’t be seen by the monster and two, your actions in one corridor will take effect in another. Having said that, the first thing you must do is to go to your inventory and combine the animal skull and the vine in order to create a sort of grappling hook.

Go to the middle corridor and go to the left. Time your steps and avoid the monster’s stare. You will see that there is a clogged water source. Throw your grappling skull to the source a couple of times to unclog it and set the water free. Once you do, several tree roots will change color. Go to the first corridor, and you will see that the vines are now yellow. Pull them and the enemy will be stunned. It will give you the opportunity to run to the right unnoticed.

Once you are over there, sing your second song. You will give new life to some other roots that will color the middle vines blue. Remember that you will have to perform some Mini-Game puzzles in order to completely have an effect after singing. Do exactly the same thing in the middle corridor. You will notice some red vines and blue vines intertwined on the right. Sing your second song again to make the red vines disappear and breathe life to the final corridor’s vines.

This time it will be a little trickier, since you need to recover a puzzle piece of sorts from the vines. First, travel to the right and then sing the second song to make the vines disappear. They will go to a higher room above you. To make them disappear from them and collect the puzzle piece, you will have to stun the monster again, but the vine is too far away. Use the remaining branch in your inventory to pick it up and carry it towards the upper room to have it closer.

Hit the monster and then rapidly crawl inside the room to not get notice and sing the second song. Once you do that, the vines will apparently disappear. All you have to do is get out of the room and below it there is the corridor from where you can see the remaining vines popping from a whole. Sing the second song one last time and you will make the vines appear behind you. Take the puzzle piece and escape the monster by going through the door on your right, using the puzzle piece, of course.

Phew, Chapter 4 surely is a roller-coaster ride. And you haven’t seen anything yet, I’m afraid. To escape from the monster in the forest is just the beginning. Return to Silentown and you will find out what I’m talking about. In the meantime, rejoice on the fact that you were able to travel to the forest and survive, although this now brings more questions that exceed the answers you were initially trying to get.
