How to Decommission Monty in Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach

How to Decommission Monty in Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach

This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information

Call me a negative Nancy, but I feel like making an animatronic in the image of a carnivorous animal is just asking for trouble. You make something with a mouth big enough for a stupid kid to stick his head into, and someone is going to lose a nose. This was literally a plot point in the first Five Nights at Freddy’s. To ensure that no one else gets a bite taken out of them, here’s how to decommission Monty in Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach.

Montgomery Gator, better known simply as Monty, is one of the Glamrock animatronics prowling the Pizzaplex for Gregory. Normally, the best course of action would be to steer clear of him, but as it happens, the backrooms of the Pizzaplex are littered with sturdy chain link gates, and the only one tough enough to break through them is Monty, thanks to his powerful claws. If you want to break through those gates yourself, you’ll need to upgrade Freddy with those claws, and to get those, you’ll have to… relieve Monty of them.

To decommission Monty in Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach

  1. Solve the Mazercise puzzle to enter the Gator Golf rafters
  2. Use the ball blasters located around the rafters to fill up the large bucket
  3. When the bucket is full, press the button to dump the balls on Monty

Before you can duke it out with Monty, you’ll need to set a few things in motion. You’ll need to obtain a Party Pass from Chica’s room that gets you access to Monty’s Gator Golf. You’ll then need to find the Security Room located in the halls behind the Gator Golf store to obtain the Security Badge, the Faz Shot, and most importantly, the Mazercise Ticket.

You’ll need to solve the Mazercise puzzle (which we just happen to have a guide for right here) to reach the small ventilation shaft. Enter the shaft, and when you come out, you’ll find yourself in the rafters of Gator Golf. Use the ball blaster to your right to shoot the glowing switch in the distance, which will activate the trollies and open the way onto the rest of the rafters. Step out onto the rafters, and Monty will make his presence known.

There are more ball blasters scattered around the rafters, so high-tail it over to one and begin filling up the large bucket on the far side of the area marked “Hurricane Hole-in-One.” Don’t stick around at one blaster too long; Monty will be hot on your tail, and he’ll destroy any ball blasters you’ve used up. Try to get some distance from Monty, then use your sneak to shake him; this will get you some extra time on the blasters.

When the Hurricane Hole-in-One bucket is full, run over to it and hit the button to its right. The bucket will tip over, breaking the rafters and dropping Monty hard onto the stage, completely totaling him and leaving his claws for you to claim. It’s fine, I don’t think he needs them anymore.
