Head
When customizing your golfer in EA Sports PGA Tour you’ll start off with your head. There are a couple of dozen options for face type combined with skin color. Next, you can complete the head look with one of the 10 eye colors available. Having this variety of nuances adds up to the realistic feel since you don’t have to pick between blue, green, and brown only.
Body Type
After that, you proceed to pick your body type. Here we have a scarce choice of only 2 body types with one being muscular and the other being skinny muscular.
Biography
For your bio, you can set your first and last name, age, country pronouns, and hometown. This information will be displayed on the overview screen of your character alongside your character and your caddy.
Hair
There are more than 20 different hairstyles you can choose from. You can also set the style of your facial hair and eyebrows and you can edit the colors of all your hair. This is the classic character creation experience that is meant to allow you to bring the character’s look as closely as you can to your own (if that’s what you’re aiming for).
Swing
The next thing you can edit is the swing. There are three different swing animations to choose from. Once you select each one of them you will see the animation of that move so you can decide which one best fits your style.
There is also a swing style that you can select. This setting is quite interesting for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it offers to you the opportunity to choose whether you’re left or right-handed and whether you have a low, medium, or high-ball trajectory. Further, you get to choose your preferred shot shape – draw or fade, that will influence your golfer’s accuracy (using your preferred shot shape during a match will increase the accuracy).
Customizing the swing tempo through 6 different speeds will alter how quickly the character moves the stick back and through. The last thing you can edit in swing settings is course management. This affects how your character handles course management in cases where they are controlled by the game’s AI. You can choose between balanced, aggressive, and conservative.
Caddie
Caddie is the last thing you can edit in your character settings. There will be 12 choices of caddies and you probably won’t dwell on this choice for long since your character is the one you will be seeing most of the time while playing the game.
