How to Cook a Thanksgiving Feast in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Happy Thanksgiving to All Who Celebrate!

Ah — it’s the holiday season. For some, that unfortunately doesn’t mean much for a cavalcade of reasons. If for any reason you’re not partaking of the traditional Thanksgiving meal, we’re here to help you do the next best thing. Let’s improvise a Thanksgiving meal in Disney Dreamlight Valley. It may not be an exact one-for-one, but we’re gonna get as close as we possibly can. It’s all in an effort to remind you that no matter what you’re doing (or not doing) for the holidays, you’re valued.

OK — enough sappy stuff. LET’S MAKE SOME (DIGITAL) FOOD!

How to Cook a Thanksgiving Feast in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Let’s start with the appetizer/s. There’s not much in the game that resembles a traditional Thanksgiving feast, but the first thing that catches this writer’s eye is the Green Salad. I always remember my family preparing salad for holiday dinners, so let’s start with that. To make a Green Salad, simply combine any vegetable you’d like with lettuce and BAM! You’ve got yourself a Green Salad.

So, what about the main entrée? Oddly enough, there isn’t anything even remotely similar to Turkey or Ham in the game, but there are a lot of fish dishes. Perhaps we can have a pescatarian Thanksgiving and make dishes like Cheesy Crispy Baked Cod, or Pan-Seared Tilapia and Vegetables? To make Cheesy Crispy Baked Cod, all you need to do is combine Cod, Cheese, and Wheat. And, Pan-Seared Tilapia and Vegetables can be crafted by mixing Tilapia and two of any vegetable you’d like!

And, let’s be real — no feast is complete without dessert! I don’t know about y’all, but to me, the iconic Thanksgiving dessert has always been a good, old fashioned, Apple Pie. And, believe it or not, you can actually make an Apple Pie in-game by combining Apple, Wheat, and Butter! I can already feel my mouth watering. Y’know what? Let’s up the ante with some Vanilla Ice Cream! To pump the Apple Pie up a notch, simply mix some Slush Ice, Milk, and Sugarcane with Vanilla.

I can’t speak for the readers, but that is a mighty delectable improvisation if I do say so myself! I’d like to wish each and every one of you a Happy Thanksgiving. Stay safe, eat some delicious food, and of course, play some good video games!
