The time has come for the spookiest season of the year to make its way into Gameloft’s Disney Dreamlight Valley! Coming in with the Scar’s Kingdom update that happened on October 18th, 2022, players were able to begin enveloping themselves in villainous Halloween fun with a new Villains Star Path to enjoy as as well new Dreamlight Duties that give some Halloween treats. Today, we’re going to go over what the Sugar Rush duty is, how to complete it, and what reward you get for doing so! Let’s get right into it!
How to Complete Sugar Rush in Disney Dreamlight Valley
In order to get started on the Sugar Rush duty, you’ll be able to via it from within your main menu under the Dreamlight tab, here, you’ll be able to see your Dreamlight Duties. The one you want in particular is under the Village tab on the left side. Once there, scroll down and you’ll be able to see the Sugar Rush duty.
In order to beat this duty, you’ll need to eat a total of 45 pieces of candy. Just about any kind of meal with candy in its title will work here, so both Mint Candy and regular old Candy will do the trick.
- To make Mint Candy, you’ll need 1 Mint and 1 Sugarcane
- To make Candy, you’ll be able to cook some with one of the following: Sugarcane, Vanilla, or Cocoa Bean.
Once you’ve made enough candy, go ahead and start eating it all. You’ll begin to see your number of candies eaten go up on the Dreamlight Duty as your character digests them. Once done, that’s where the treat comes into play.

Your reward for eating all of this delicious candy is an awesome new Happy Jack-O-Lantern at 15 pieces eaten, a Mischievous Jack-O-Lantern at 30 pieces, and a Friendly Jack-O-Lantern at 45 that you can place anywhere you’d like, whether inside your home or outside in the Dreamlight Valley. You can find these items under the Furniture tab in your inventory after claiming them on the Dreamlight page.
