How to Cook a Meal in Fire Emblem Engage

Ramsay who?

In a world of permadeath, constant battles, and grinding, there are occasions where you wish you could just take a break, sit down with a couple of friends, and enjoy a nice meal to contemplate all the experiences together. Well, that sounds comforting enough. Thankfully, Fire Emblem Engage gives us the opportunity to do so, and it will allow us to cook great meals for our party friends. There is more than meets the eye, though, so here is how to cook a meal in Fire Emblem Engage.

How to Cook a Meal

Spending time with our friends by sharing a meal not only fills one’s belly, but also the soul. In the case of Fire Emblem Engage, if done correctly, sharing a meal with up to two characters at once can potentially increase their stats for the next battle. Not only that, but it can improve the social rank between the characters, and even having the chance to give you a healing item for the next battle. These things sound awesome, but there is a catch. In real life, one would accept anything that a friend serves us on our plate. Well, not in Fire Emblem, I say! You must cook a meal that adapts to the palate of your friends in order for them to be satisfied. This is not a restaurant, guys! But not only that, apparently, you also need to be an Expert at the dish you are attempting to cook. If they find your plate distasteful, they could even be given a temporary debuff that will last for the next battle.

Talk about good intentions, huh. Well, to avoid all Kitchen Nightmares drama, you make sure that you use a character that has a great cooking ability to avoid your friends from getting the ouchies on their bellies. You will certainly benefit from an exquisite dish, but a decent one can mean life or death. Literally.
