How to Complete Muddy Waters in Warzone 2.0 DMZ – All Intel Locations

A tough start to the Legion Faction

The release of Season 2 for the Warzone 2.0 DMZ Mode sees the reset of all Faction Missions. A new Faction has been added: Crown, which is only available for those who have purchased Modern Warfare 2. However, players who have not will still get to revisit the White Lotus, Black Mous and Legion Faction Missions, with new upgrades, rewards and objectives to play out. The ‘Muddy Waters’ Mission offers players 10,000 XP and the Maniples Blueprint. This guide will show you how to complete the Tier 1 Legion Mission ‘Muddy Waters’ in Ashika Island.

‘Muddy Waters’ Mission Summary

For a Tier 1 Mission, ‘Muddy Waters’ is tougher than you would think. This is due to the ask of players to go around the new Ashika Island Map and hit three different objectives. This Mission, however, acts as a great gateway into learning the Ashika Island named locations on the Map. The ‘Muddy Waters’ Mission asks players to extract the Shadow Company USB Stick from the Beach Club, then extract Intel from the Underground Waterway and finally to extract Crown Intel from the Power Plant.

As this is an extraction Mission, we recommend completing each objective per deployment. That way you do not have to worry about losing any of the Intel if exiling becomes too difficult to complete due to the increased amount of players trying to complete this Mission with you.

How to Complete ‘Muddy Waters’

Shadow Company USB Location

‘Muddy Waters’ asks players to extract three pieces of Intel, all of which are located on different points of the Ashika Island Map. You can hit these criteria in any order and safely exfil with the Intel across three deployments instead of trying to hit all three objectives in one. Players first need to go to the Beach Clubhouse, located at the furthest southern point of Ashika Island. Refer to the screenshot below of the exact location on the Map where you will need to go to find the Shadow Company USB Stick.

You will need to dive into the water to access the Beach Club. You should swim to the south side of the building and dive. You are looking for an open window that you can swim through to enter the Beach Clubhouse. If you cannot find it in your first dive, resurface to catch your character’s breath back and try again. Once inside, you need to check the two crates under the water, below the stairs in the Clubhouse. Once again, if you are running out of breath, swim to the top of the staircase where you can resurface. Keep in mind that if you do not find it this will be due to the fact that other players have looted the Crates. If this happens you will have to redeploy and check the Clubhouse again.

Ashika Island Intel Location

The next location is difficult to break through due to the highly contested Elite Guards and a patrolling Minigunner being present in the Underground Waterways. As this area too may house other players looking to extract the Weapons Case. The Waterways spreads from the west to east side of the Map. You will find this in the dead centre of Ashika Island. You will not want to rush as you move through the Waterways as this area is filled with Elite Guards. The Intel is located directly underneath the Tsuki Castle named location of Ashika Island. This is the centre of the Map, so players should not walk all the way through the Waterways to reach the Intel.

Refer to the screenshot below of the entry point of the Waterways (player cursor) and the Intel location (red arrow).

As you are approaching the Tsuki Castle, you will find a Submarine in port. The Intel can be found inside the Ship Container, in the corner and next to the light, to the right of the Submarine.

Crown Intel Location – Where to Find Intel

The final Intel is located in the Power Plant Stronghold, found northwest of the Tsuki Castle. Players will need to obtain a Stronghold Keycard in order to access the Power Plant. You can either purchase one from the Buy Station (randomized spawn) or loot it off enemies that you have killed.

You can exfil with a Stronghold Keycard, being able to take this with you using your Key Folder. Alternatively, you can focus your attention on the Shadow Company Guards who are the common enemies on Ashika Island. These enemies can drop the Stronghold Keycard as they are located near the Stronghold entrance. You can also complete HVT Missions to obtain the Keycard too.

You need to head to the exact location as shown in the screenshot above. Once you have entered the Stronghold by using the Keycard, players need to climb the ladder to the Observation Deck above the main room of the Stronghold. The Crown Intel can be picked up in front of the desk in this room, on the floor. After this, just extract with the final Intel and the ‘Muddy Waters’ Mission will be complete.
