How to Complete Harvest Something Sweet in Disney Dreamlight

The best sugar is all-natural.

In Disney Dreamlight Valley, you regularly receive a list of daily Dreamlight Duties, which reward you with Dreamlight upon completion. Most of these are fairly straightforward, outlining what you’re supposed to do in a few words, but some of them can be a bit obtuse. For one such example of the latter, here’s how to complete Harvest Something Sweet in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Complete Harvest Something Sweet in Disney Dreamlight

Harvest Something Sweet is one of the numerous Dreamlight Duties you can be assigned on any given day in Disney Dreamlight Valley. As the name implies, you need to harvest 40 of some kind of sweet-tasting plant, but the task doesn’t tell you what kind of plant you actually need.

As it so happens, there are two options for sweet-tasting plants you can yank out of the ground and accomplish this Duty: sugarcane and vanilla. These plants can be found in the wild or cultivated in a personal garden. It doesn’t matter how you do it, as long as your harvest it out of the ground, it still counts.

Getting Sugarcane and Vanilla

You can purchase Sugarcane Seeds from one of Goofy’s Stalls, specifically the one located on Dazzle Beach (provided you’ve already repaired the stand, of course). Sugarcane doesn’t need any particular conditions to grow; just plant it anywhere you’ll remember it, give it some water and love, and soon enough, it’ll sprout into harvestable sugarcane.

As for vanilla, you can’t buy seeds for it, but it does occur naturally and readily in the Sunlit Plateau. It’s a green plant with yellow flowers sticking out of the ground here and there. If you come across one, just pluck it, and it’ll count toward your Duty total.

Once you’ve harvested 40 pieces of sugarcane and/or vanilla, you can turn in the Duty for your reward. Afterward, if you’ve got some eggs, consider cooking them with the sugarcane to get Tamagoyaki! That stuff is mad tasty.
