How to Complete Glenn’s Mind Puzzle in Chained Echoes

All paths of Chained Echoes was leading up to this point. Of Glenn becoming so detached from reality that his mind remains fractured. The Main Quest ‘Glenn’s Mind’ is exactly what you would expect but its execution is further away from anticipation. With the Clan actually entering his mind, slowly piecing it back together. In this Quest, you will face the title card itself, the Chained Echoes. A formidable foe who has manifested itself inside Glenn’s subconsciousness. By finding and defeating it, Glenn will be freed. This is our guide on how to complete the Glenn’s Mind puzzle to get to the Chained Echoes Boss Fight.

How to Complete Glenn’s Mind Puzzle

Upon entering Glenn’s Mind, players have to go through a puzzle as part of the main gameplay feature of this Quest. Similarly to the Flower Fields of Perpetua in locating a Soul of Farnese, in combination with the Leonar Temple Challenges. This puzzle asks for players to remove and replace Orbs with memories attached to them. After finding the purple gate in which the puzzle will begin, players are placed in an area similar to the Shambala floating Islands. Just like helping Magnolia, you need to place the correct memories down to make the path to progress through the Quest.

Beach and Dungeon Fragment

Firstly, remove the yellow Orb on the right, titled ‘Beach’. You will see the Beach setting on the Island to your right as the Orb is activated. Head north after picking it up and place down on the northern sphere which will be greyed out. Follow the Beach path north as a new path is created. Remember that you will need to fight off enemies inside Glenn’s Mind. Defeat the Flying Eyes and continue north afterwards. Go left, leaving behind the yellow orb at the corner of this path. Keep heading north-west and open the Chest at the end to obtain Sweets. Pick up the yellow orb titled ‘Dungeon’. The path will vanish and you will be teleported to where you fought the Flying Eyes.

Ship Fragment

Go south from here and remove the ‘Beach’ fragment. Continue south and take the second turn on your right. Place the ‘Dungeon’ fragment inside the sphere to create another path. Follow it around and remove the fragment once again now on the other side of the Dungeon memory. Continue walking until you see another grey sphere. Place ‘Dungeon’ fragment inside and go to the memory fragment end to pick the orb back up. Now continue north where you will fight Flying Noses. After defeating them. Remove the ‘Ship’ fragment Orb on the right and then backtrack, going south through Dungeon.

Continue the entire way until the end of Dungeon (where you originally placed the fragment down). Pick it up and on the same sphere, place the ‘Ship’ fragment down. Now go south until you reach the grey sphere. Put ‘Dungeon’ inside. Remove this fragment after reaching the other side. Head north, back to the first orb (Beach) you removed to start the puzzle. The Ship passage will be here for you to walk through.

Putting All Three Fragments to Head East

Players need all 3 fragments: Dungeon, Beach and Ship to progress. Firstly, place ‘Beach’ in the north-left sphere. Go north through Beach and place ‘Dungeon’ in the next sphere. Go back and head left where Dungeon memory will appear. Circle all the way around and continue walking south. Go past the right turn, you will find the end of the ‘Ship’ fragment Orb here. Pick it up and go back to the Dungeon memory. Return to the beginning of Dungeon and end of Beach fragments, go north and take the ‘Dungeon’ Orb off its stand. Go south back through Beach and remove the Orb. Now you have all 3 Orbs to progress.

Go east and then south, opening the Chest to get Nectar. Circle around to the right and head east once more where you will find another grey sphere. Place ‘Beach’ inside and head north. Next, place ‘Dungeon’ at the following sphere. Follow passage all the way around, picking up the ‘Dungeon’ fragment west and replacing it with the ‘Ship’ fragment. You will find a Chest with Meals inside on the other side of the clearing. Go north-west from here and place ‘Dungeon’ into the final grey sphere. With a new door to head through, enter and continue on with Glenn’s Mind Quest. Until finally meeting the Chained Echoes.
