How to Complete Big in Japan in Cyberpunk 2077 (The Office Easter Egg)

The main story in Cyberpunk 2077 eventually leads you to a bar called Afterlife. It’s where the best mercenaries in Night City come to hang out and talk shop. You’ll have to go there to meet up with a chick named Rogue, but it turns out she will only speak to you if you have €$15,000 Eurodollars (eddies) to front her.

If you’re like me, you probably laughed and walked away. At that point, you run into a guy named Dennis, who has a suspicious job for you. It sounds like free eddies, though, so this might be a good opportunity. There’s a subtle reference to the popular tv show The Office hidden in this side job. Here’s how to complete Big in Japan in Cyberpunk 2077 and discover the Easter Egg.

How to Complete Big in Japan in Cyberpunk 2077

Head over to Kabuki in Watson, to the shack houses near the water. You’re looking for a container with the words “No Future” graffitied on the side. You can find the container, which looks like a refrigerator, in the shack near the water on the area’s east side.

Head over and open up the container to get the package. Give Dennis a call and tell him what you found. He’ll give you instructions to put the package in the trunk of a car that’s parked nearby. Watch out, though, because when the Tyger Claws see what you have, they’re going to open fire. We recommend immediately dropping the body and clearing the area before proceeding.

There’s also the dreaded infinite enemy respawn bug in this quest, so you may have to retry it a few times. Take out the Tyger Claws and pick up the body. Make your way up the stairs, following the marker, to the car. Throw the man in the trunk and proceed to meet Dennis.

After delivering the “package” to Dennis, you have the option to ask him who this guy is that you just rescued from the container at Kabuki. The man, whose name is Haruyoshi, explains his story. It’s a reference to Hidetoshi Hasagawa, the Japanese surgeon who killed the Yakuza mob boss and now works in the warehouse under his supervisor Darryl.

Here’s how the dialogue goes from Haruyoshi in Cyberpunk 2077:

In Japan, brain surgeon, top of all. Good instinct. One day, Tyger Claw boss need surgery. But, boss die on table!

Tyger Claws were very angry. I hide in boat, swim to America. Here Dennis saves me. But there is secret – I kill Tyger Claw boss on purpose. World best surgeon make no mistake!
